Eccoci giunti a ISOLABONA situata nella Val Nervia, confinante con Rocchetta Nervina e Dolceacqua.

Si raggiunge facilmente da Bordighera, dopo pochi km. dal mare , con le classiche strade con molte curve e immersi nel verde dove il sole riflettendosi sulle piante d’olivo le fa brillare e gli da una tonalità argentea .

Questa che abbiamo appena visto è la piazza con parcheggio che ci ferma come per dirci , scendi dall’auto e guardati intorno, poi dopo aver bevuto al bar potrai ripartire per le tue nuove avventure.

Siamo appena giunti nel parcheggio principale, da dove si ammira immediatamente il campanile della chiesa, e sia alla nostra destra, che alla nostra sinistra, due splendidi bar ci invitano a sederci e gustare un buon caffè.

Ma siamo indecisi su quale scegliere e alla fine decidiamo di fermarci al ritorno della nostra visita.

Ci imbattiamo subito in una scena particolare, e cioè troviamo in ogni dove vecchi e meno vecchi modelli di motocarro di colori vari, e posizionati in punti strategici per attirare lo sguardo verso di loro.

Infatti le troviamo in ogni angolo,con diversi arredamenti colori e altro, posizionate nei punti più strani e strategici per attirare lo sguardo dei turisti che incuriositi girano tutto il paese alla ricerca di altre curiosità.

Come ogni paese e frazione della nostra bella Liguria, anche qui a Isolabona, per poterla visitare ci tocca salire e scendere per i vicoli con la pavimentazione in pietra, come le case che, anche se all’interno sono arredate in vari modi, esternamente raccontano una lunga storia di vita, dove nei tempi lontani gli abitanti si circondavano di mura e porte a difesa del nemico.

Troviamo il monumento ai caduti – guerra 1915/1918 paesani morti per la patria, inoltre vi è anche una tabella del Meridiano Cassini .

Meraviglioso e particolare questo angolo con volte in pietra, dove l’arte della costruzione di questi luoghi ci fa pensare alla fatica che i nostri avi, hanno fatto per costruire quello che, ancora ai giorni nostri ci fa sbalordire e apprezzare sempre di più la vita di un tempo.

Un notevole ritaglio di terra, dedicato ai più piccoli,dove le mamme e i papà , conducono i bambini per giocare e ritrovarsi fra loro mentre appartati in un angolo i genitori si scambiano notizie della giornata.

Troviamo una chiesa ma con il portone chiuso e non possiamo visitarla,un’altra per nostra fortuna è aperte al pubblico,in quanto vi era appena stata una funzione, approfittiamo del momento per entrare e così riusciamo a scattare alcune foto. Poi dopo esserci fatto il segno della croce ci allontaniamo e raggiungiamo la strada maestra.
